I was so upset yesterday when I heard about the passing of Donna Summer at the age of 63.  Couldn't believe it...didn't even know she was sick (she had cancer).   She truly was the Queen of Disco and so much more.  Her music had a big impact on my young adulthood and it still holds up to this day.  We'll be honoring Donna Summer this morning, playing all of her biggest hits.  Let me know what your favorite Donna song is at www.facebook.com/oldies98.3

Shocker last night on Idol as the person who a lot of people thought was going to take it all went home.  Joshua Ledet was voted off.  Josh received more standing ovations from the judges than any other contestant in Idol history.   Wow.  Well, now it's down to Philip and Jessica...who is the next American Idol...God I hope it's Jessica, but we'll find out next week!

IDOL RECAP

Big night on Idol with the final three bringing their A game.  I loved Josh's version of I'd Rather Be Blind and Imagine (though it's hard to go wrong with that song).  I thought Jessica did a great job on I Don't Want To Miss A Thing and Philip rocked it with We've Got Tonight.  So who do you think is going home and who will have the shot at becoming the next American Idol?  I think Philip may be gone after tonight...what about you?

Kind of a shocking elimination on last night's Dancing as the highest scorer on Monday said goodbye.  Maria Menounos and Derek Hough danced off the floor for good after being told they were the lowest vote getters. For the big finale next week, it will be Donald Driver against Katherine Jenkins against William Levy.  Who's taking home the treasured Mirrorball...I'm rooting for Donald...what about you?

DWTS RECAP

Tough night on Dancing With the Stars.  Everyone danced wonderfully I thought, but poor Katherine Jenkins.  As she finished up her second dance and her back went out, it was heartbreaking to see how upset she was.  She did have to go to the hospital afterwards to get checked out.  No word yet on how she's doing.  She is now at the bottom of the leaderboard with 56 and Maria Menounas is at the top with 59.  Who do you think will make it to the finals next week?   We'll find out tonight at 9 on Channel 10!

AMERICAN IDOL

We finally said goodbye to Hollie Cavanuagh on last night's American Idol.  While it wasn't a surprise, it's still hard to see these kids go home at this point in the game.  She should be proud though, making it to final four.  Our final three are Joshua Ledet, Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez....who will be the next American Idol???

TULIP-FEST

Hope you'll join me this Sunday at Tulip-Fest in Albany's Washington Park.  I'll be there on the main stage from 1:30-3:30 to introduce some cool bands, like a Stevie Wonder tribute band and a James Brown tribute band.  It's going to be a great day and it's a nice way to treat mom...take her to Tulip Fest!!
