Born and bred here in the Capital Region, and happy to still live within five miles of my childhood home in North Greenbush. I am the proud aunt of Gabrielle, Dominique, Robbie, Bridget, Kateri, Victoria, James, Olivia and little JR! I am happiest when I get to spend as much time as possible with them. I am also a certified pet lover, with two cats, Mokie and Minnie and two dogs....Freckles and Leo!!
And here's the newest photo of Leo, at two years old....he's learned to beg for pizza very well!
Spending time with family and friends is number one on my list of favorite leisure activities. I also enjoy movies, reading a good mystery, swimming and playing computer games (I have to stay on top of the games, so I can play with the kids). I love vacationing on Cape Cod, or heading out to sea on one of our Cruises to the Caribbean. Want to know more....feel free to ask! Nicol Lally of NewsCenter at 10 on Fox 23 spoke to me this morning about her piece how we may be bringing viruses and bacteria into our homes even though we think we're doing the right thing by helping the environment. Find out more tonight on Newscenter at 10 on Fox 23 tonight. (5-20) Listen to our conversation here:

Well, since the Rolling Stones started their tour, they've had lots of famous guests on stage with them....folks like Keith Urban, Gwen Stefani, Tom Waits, John Fogerty and Bonnie Raitt. Over the weekend, Katy Perry was added to the list helping the guys sing Beast of Burden. Check it out!
Here's a few more photos from Tulip Fest yesterday. I had such a blast and I want to thank the fantastic band Grand Central Station for inviting me and Mayor Jennings on stage to sing with them. (They're a fantastic local band, go see them when you can!) I'll have more photos soon in a gallery, but wanted you to be able to check these out! And thanks to Terrie Hogan Weber for being such a great photographer!

I remember when The Young & The Restless first came on the air in 1973. I was very young, but my mother and sisters were thrilled at the thought of a new "soap opera." So as kids do, I started watching with my older sisters and mom. I became hooked. This evil woman Mrs. Chancellor seemed to run everything. But then as the years went on, it was clear that the character had many different facets. She wasn't really evil, she had a kind side too, and a mean side, and a generous side and a thoughtful side and on and on. Thanks to Jeanne Cooper, the woman who played Mrs. Chancellor, the character was about as real as you could get on a soap opera. She clearly was the grand dame of the the show, and deservedly so. I stopped watching The Young & the Restless about 10-12 years ago, but that doesn't mean that every now and then when I was home, I wouldn't tune in to see what was going on with Katherine Chancellor. It was like checking in with a distant cousin. I always knew she'd be around to say hello to. Yesterday, Jeanne Cooper passed away at the age of 84. She may not get as much press as a bigger star who passes, but truth is, she came into our homes every day for 40 years...that's saying something. In fact, it's sazying alot! Mrs. Chancellor, you will be missed, but for my money, you're now in heaven chatting up God and letting him know how you stand on things. Rest in Peace!
