We lost a member of rock royalty yesterday. Ray Manzarek, keyboardist for The Doors died at the age of 74 due to cancer. Today we honor him:

We all want to do our part to help the people in Oklahoma who are dealing with so much this morning after suffering one of the worst tornadoes in our history.   There are several ways you can help not only the people but also the pets who have been lost or left behind in the tragedy...Thank you!:

• The Red Cross says the best way to assist families is to make a donation to www.redcross.org/okc or www.redcross.org or texting REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.

Nobody likes to toss and turn when they get into bed.  I hate that.  You get into bed thinking you're going to fall right to sleep and then you just can't do it.  Well, here's the secret, according to a doctor friend of mine.  Go to bed wearing socks....seriously.   Apparently your hands and feet need to be warm for the rest of your body to get warm, so if you go to bed with socks on and snuggle in making sure your hands are warm, you'll fall asleep quicker because your body will warm up quicker.  It works for me, since I've tried it.  I kick the socks off in the middle of the night, but by then I'm all warmed up and good.   Give it a try and let me know if it helps you!!
