IDOL RECAP

What did you think of Idol last night?   I wasn't surprised that so many kids went home...they brought a LOT of people to Hollywood this time around.  Jane Carrey, Jim Carrey's daughter did NOT make it through.   Couple of things bugged me about Idol last night though.   First up, my DVR cut off the end.  Secondly, I didn't think it was right to use that poor 16 year old's fainting spell as a cliffhanger.  I thought it was a little sleazy.  What did you think?  Discuss at www.facebook.com/98.3wtry

The latest rumor flying around about the cast of Dancing With the Stars is that Denver Bronco's quarterback, Tim Tebow will be on the show.  Some say it will happen this season and others say it won't be until the following season but we'll have to wait and see what happens.  I'd love to see him on there.  He is a cutie after all...and will he "Tebow" on the dance floor...I want to find out!

More drama for Simon Cowell's X-Factor...last week there was a story that he was offering Beyonce a half a billion dollars to judge the show over the next five years.  That turned out to be false.  Now comes word that he's trying to woo Elton John, even though Elton has said he's not a fan of "talent" shows.  What should Simon do...who could he possibly get that would raise the game for the show?

Paul McCartney's new album, Kisses On The Bottom comes out today!  Look for him to sing one of the songs on the Grammy  Awards this Sunday!  And if you think Paul is slowing down at all, no way.  He's already working on his next album of all new songs and he hopes to have it out by the end of the year.  This is why we still love the cute Beatle!

NEW MUNSTERS

Okay, so a few months ago, NBC announced that they were remaking the old TV show The Munsters, but apparently their new version will be NOTHING like the old version.  First up, it won't even be called The Munsters...it's going to be called Mockingbird Lane (which is the street the Munsters lived on).  Secondly, the Munsters won't look like, well, monsters.  Instead they'll look like everyday normal folk.  And lastly, the show is NOT going to be a comedy, it's going to be a one hour drama.   Um, how is this a remake??

Who would have thought that Madonna would play the halftime show, but that she would NOT be the one who caused the controversy.  Madonna had several guest performers with her like LMFAO, CeeLo Green, and Nicky Minaj, but it was M.I.A. who started trouble when at the end of the show, she "flipped the bird" to the camera.  No one quite knows why she did it, but lots of folks are upset about it.  Other than that, I thought her show as just okay, but it was fun to hear the old songs like Vogue again.  What did you think?  Join the discussion at www.facebook.com/98.3wtry

What did you think of last night's American Idol auditions in Portland?  I thought there were some really great singers.  I especially liked Jessica at the end (who is caring for her sick boyfriend), and I liked single mom Britney as well.   What about you, who were your favs from last night?   And remember tonight's the last night of auditions and they take place in St. Louis...hopefully we'll see more good stuff!
